1999 PHILADELPHIA 100 LIST RELEASED

Philadelphia, PA - The Wharton School's Small Business Development Center (SBDC) released its annual listing of the region's fastest-growing privately held companies, the 1999 Philadelphia 100.

Founded in 1993 by President and Owner, Frank Sucharski, I/S Computer Services, Inc. supplies Data Processing Programming, Consulting, Training & Recruiting Services to clients in the Delaware Valley Area. They are specialists in IBM AS/400, RPG, COBOL, Visual Basic, C++, Oracle & PowerBuilder. Other I/S-CS services include Operations, Network Configuration, PC Training & AS/400 Performance Tuning. I/S Computer Services, Inc, was also honored by being included in the 1998 Fast 50, the Fastest-Growing Technology Companies Based in Eastern Pennsylvania. THE 1999 PHILADELPHIA 100 AVERAGED 329% GROWTH

With average annual revenues of $8.5 million, and three-year revenue growth of an explosive 329%, the 1999 Philadelphia 100 are key to keeping our regional economy strong -- in the last three years they have created more than 2,500 new jobs in our region. On average these companies are just 7 years old, started-up with $90,000 in capital, are located within the Greater Philadelphia region, and employ an average of 75 staff individually, and 7,500 collectively. The rankings are based solely on percentage revenue growth between 1996 and 1998.

The project, now in its 11th year, culminates with the Philadelphia 100 -- The Growing a Company Conference on November 12th at the PA. Convention Center. The conference honors the achievements of the 100 fastest-growing companies with a day providing expert advice and practical guidance on what is takes to sustain and manage explosive growth in today's fast-moving, competitive market place. The companies were identified in a project jointly sponsored by the Wharton Small Business Development Center (SBDC), the Philadelphia Business Journal and the Entrepreneurs' Forum of Greater Philadelphia. They include technology-based businesses, professional service firms, manufacturers, construction companies, and retailers, chosen from nearly 1,800 firms nominated for this prestigious ranking.

The Wharton Small Business Development Center, the Philadelphia Business Journal and the Entrepreneurs' Forum of Greater Philadelphia have sponsored the project since its inception in 1988. The Wharton Small Business Development Center (SBDC), which is a unit of the Sol C. Snider Entrepreneurial Research Center of the Wharton School, provides one-on-one management consulting and entrepreneurial management programs to emerging companies in southeastern Pennsylvania
